Beer Cheese Cornbread

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all purpose flour

1/2 cup Yellow Corn Meal
2 tbsp sugar

1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp onion powder
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups Cheddar Cheese, grated
1 cup Kalik beer, or your favorite beer
2 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil

Directions

Sift together the flour, corn meal, sugar, baking powder, onion powder and baking soda.

In a medium-sized mixing bowl with electric mixer, beat together the cheese, beer, eggs and oil. Add the dry ingredients and beat for about 2-minutes.

Turn into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350F for about 1 hour, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Serve warm or cold and refrigerate left-over cornbread.
